I'm Hugo Coelho, a Portuguese photographer based in Lisbon. For over 10 years, I've been photographing people and telling stories through honest, thoughtful imagery.
When I photograph a wedding, I prefer to follow the couple's energy and the natural rhythm of the day rather than direct it too much. I believe that's when the most meaningful moments happen.
I hope my work feels intimate, timeless, and a little poetic. I'm drawn to movement, light, and shadow, and to the balance between emotion and artistry. I bring an editorial eye to every story I photograph while always trying to preserve what feels real.
Most of my work takes me to destination weddings, and I've been fortunate enough to document celebrations across Portugal and Europe, as well as South Africa, Mexico, and the United States.
